GVR trip report from afar

Seeing a well known gambler at the $1 9/6 Jacks collecting on a Royal was a good start to our 3 day stay:-)

3 nights with 3x multiplier on 2 days and a $50 food coupon. Wednesday night dinner was half price using points and the hot and sour soup was very good. Thursday night had a huge amount of crab legs/catfish on the $50 comp.

Nice Hilton Linai type room with door opening to palm trees swaying in the wind.

At start swipe card and my wife has 300,000 cb points and 500,000 comp points. Sweet! She made president level by the end of the trip so is hoping for increased offers.

The VP variety and fair-bet paytables are a sight to behold being from the east coast. Gave them $120K action mostly on the (devil game) FPDDB and FPJB. Also, $3K on "quick hit" slot machine in an attemp to stay under the radar. Those are a lot of fun as a break after grinding on VP for a few hours.

Got a royal, 2 hours before we left for the airport. CB totaled ~$500. ((Was advised to take it all as effects use of comp points on future trips(?))

We ended up ahead by ~$500 thanks to that royal and the cash back which (of which ~$200 for this trip). We started the visit seeing a royal and ended our 7 day trip getting a royal.

We are going out to Vegas in two weeks. Staying at GVR on a Groupon offer. We have no comps or points. How much was the crab and where was it?
We always eat crab legs at least once during our trip.

Not staying at Palms as usual, going to GVR as they have FPDW.
Guess I should learn another game.

$28 at the "Tides." You had to buy a drink. It was Thursday night.
Wednesday night it was 50% off at the Chinese so it may be half price at the Tides on Wednesdays as well. My only objection to the eateries was the pseudo-coffee shop @ $3.65 for a bad large cup.
GVR had a slot tournament for over 50's on either Wed. or Thursday.
