GVR changes

This evening (Wednesday) I was at Green Valley Ranch and noticed a couple of
changes. The Multi-Strike NSUD in the High Limit Room has been downgraded
to pNSUD (15-9-4-4) on all three machines and all denominations. Out on the
floor near Hank's there is a new carousel of six machines with Triple Pay
Deuces (20-10-8-4-3-2-2-1) in quarters. The machines have the same green
faceplate as the machines at Sunset Station. Finally, all the machines
between Terra Verde and Hank's have no smoking signs on them. This includes
the bank of six machines at the SE entrance with 100% games.

Not surprised to see the MS downgraded. It's a pretty windy game, and
all it took was for the wind to blow the players' way for a bit for
the machines to be downgraded. Or a couple of top line sets of deuces
or a top line royal.

There's only one pay table for Triple Deuces, and that's the 99.92%
one listed above. AFAIK, these games have always been $1= 1 point at
Stations throughout the chain.

Brad did get a top line royal on the $1 NSUD Multi-Strike machine - $32,000 - the day before the paytables were cut. That might have driven the last nail in the coffin. For a long time it seemed that most players were losing - some a lot - and so the casino was happy. But in the last month there were some big wins and we knew it would probably be pulled. I was hoping they would just take off the $5 on the one machine - and even the $2 if they were worried about big jackpots - and leave the $1 intact - but that was not to be.
