Guaranteed video poker is at station casinos

At Red Rock, the machines are spread all over the place. What has
not be mentioned previously is that when you look at the screen, the
left half is the Guaranteed Play menu, while the right half is a
conventional Game King menu. My guess is the machines themselves
were not changed, just the software and the backglass or whatever it
is called.

Anyway, I had to try the game once. Maybe this has already been
mentioned, but you get to choose between 6 games. And...if you
choose Deuces, you get 100 hands for $20 instead of 75. Choose Bonus
and you get 125 hands for $20. Choose Jacks and you get $150 hands
for $20.

I didn't check the DW paytable. Jacks was 8/5. Bonus was 7/5, so I
picked that. After money is inserted this screen appears telling you
the rules and you have to click Accept before you can play. So I
clicked Accept and began. The credit meter quickly went minus, then
I eventually hit quad Jacks for 125Q to get the meter to plus 65C.
Got it up to plus 80C, then it turned choppy and when all was done,
I had 75C after 125 hands. A loss of $1.25.

in walking through boulder station, I counted AT LEAST 10 banks of
these machines. My guess without counting would be 100 of these

type

machines or more. Has anyone ever seen a casino company put in

this

many of one kind of machine all at the same time? It cannot be a

good

thing for the player just because of the availabilty.

The way I see it the negative to guareented play is:
If you buy $20 worth of hands and you play the game and come out even
(0 credits left) after the hands are played---you have lost your $20
buy in.

The positve is:
If you are below 80 credits---were you would have lost your $20(with
conventional play) and still have hands left to play---you can get a
good paying hand and still come out a winner. That, I believe is the
reason the less volatile games have bonus hands( JB,BP,Dueces wild)

I figured that if you go with the 200 hands for $40 playing 9/6 DDB
with normal strategy you lose $7.72, which is 3.1% of your $250
of "play".
