I guess I could have summoned?a slot supervisor and a tech and they could
have decided if the button was bad enough to pay me for the lost hand. However,
it was Saturday and fairly busy so I decided not to wait around for that.
Same sort of thing happened to me at MGM on the old 9/7 DB progressives. I
was dealt trips 3's, held them (of course), one disappeared and the fourth 3
was the first card on the draw. I stopped immediately, summoned a slot
supervisor, who then summoned a tech and a Suit. The tech opened the machine,
verified my story of the card appearance order, then the Suit told me that they
wouldn't pay the difference between the trips and the $100 quad. My fault,
apparently. Well, it's also been my fault that I haven't been back there
since. That was twice in a short time that they'd screwed me. Adios, MGM!
