Gtown calendar and tourney machines, bad buttons and MGM change machines

Peg and I got our Greektown calendars last week.? Every month is either $10 in Free Play or double points for a day.? Both are good coupons.?

I was playing Saturday on the $0.25 - $1.00 multigame Game Kings and was at the last machine in the corner. I was playing the 16/10 Deuces and was dealt a straight flush with one deuce. I happily hit all 5 buttons and then draw and saw only 4 buttons hold. The second button from the left did not hold one of the cards so now I had a draw to 3 SF cards plus a deuce (at least the deuce was still there).?I ended up with trips and 45 less coins than I should have had. I played a little while longer and tested the button. It would activate most of the time but occassionally would not hold a card when hit.?

I guess I could have summoned?a slot supervisor and a tech and they could have decided if the button was bad enough to pay me for the lost hand. However, it was Saturday and fairly busy so I decided not to wait around for that.

If Greektown does run tournaments on those machines, I'd suggest a thorough testing of the buttons.?A bad button in a tournament setting would be a huge handicap.?

Stopped brieflly at MGM to collect my freeplay. I ended up with $14.30 and put it in a change machine. Out came 14 singles, a quarter and 5 pennies. Wow, they are going after the high end on play but not on change machines?
