The oversized progressive was a great machine because Greektown couldn't
figure out that if 1% was going to each of the 5 progressives, that's
really a 5% meter and not a 1% meter. And they wonder why they lost
money on that machine.
To make it even better, when they wanted to get rid of the machine, they
put the 5 royal progressives all into the dollar double double bonus
game. Aces/kicker was around $10K, 2-4 w/kicker was $5K or so. I think
the machine was over 150% at that point. Gotta love 'em.
If you do play at Greektown, take your comps every time you go. They
will disappear on you if you don't use them.
