Greektown VP tourney

VP Pappy,

My wife is going to play in the Greektown vp tourney. She didn't actaully check the paytable but the machines said JOB. If it is actually 9/6 JOB, this is a pretty silly tourney.

3 minutes, playing quickly , will give you 50 hands. Less that 12% of the time will you hit a hand over a full house and your chances of 2 quads is less that 1%, which is about your chances of hitting a straight flush.

My guess is there will be a lot of scores around 200 - 300 credits. If these are the rules, this is a very silly tourney. After 2 minutes, if you're on your way to a 300+ credit score, I'd suggest going crazy for the big hands.

Johnny Z,

I agree, it won't be all that exciting. If you have to sneeze a
couple of times, it's all over.
I've been running some sims and about 50 hands in 3 minutes is
what I came up with also. 175 to 350 credits is about the range won
without hitting a quad. I have 500 points accumulated from
Saturday's play, so I have one play coming already.
Two hours of quarter Pick'Em is worth about 100 points and I'm
guessing that I play that game at near 1000 hands per hour, what
with the one card decision all the time.
The cash back for vp players sucks in Detroit, but I never look a
free comp in the mouth.
There's some more info up on vpFree where I started a thread on
the subject, including a response from Bob Dancer.
