Greektown tournament update - and a warning

As of about 1PM today, there were 4 "royal" scores (over 4,000) on the tote
board. First was 4470, followed by 4450. 10th place was 600. Top 10 for
April cash for $10K down to $1K.

The warning involves the point accumulation to earn entries. You cannot
believe the points displayed on the individual VP machine readout when you first
insert your card. I had somewhere around 650 for April, don't know exact count
because I stopped looking after 500. But when I went to redeem 500 for an
entry, I was told that I only had 360-something and couldn't play. No amount of
sweet-taking, reasoning, or cajoling would budge the woman from that, so I
didn't get to play. Probably won't, either, since I have no plans to return
this month. Sure leaves a sour taste when you're a regular player and somebody
does that to you.

   Brian,

I hope I don't get screwed also on the point totals. I paid
dearly for those points.

One more royal up on the board and Dancer wins our bet of $100.

Sure, just like Bob to take advantage of a half-senile old man on
his last legs; Sniff, Sniff. Sure glad he made that bet with VP Pappy
and not me. I told old VP that there would probably be more than five
royals up on the board, but noooooooo! He wouldn't listen.
I don't know where VP is going to get the money as he is always
drinking and gambling his money away. I'll probably have to bail him
out, yet once again.
