GREEKTOWN TOURNAMENT TOTALS, SO FAR

Just got back from Greektown Casino. The tournament board now has
two royals: 4,450 and 4,250. The balance run from 765 to 585. Looks
like I will have to use the "always go for a royal" strategy, and,
if no royal cards, "always go for a straight flush" as the secondary
strategy. There's no sense trying to hit a royal on a re-draw.
Almost impossible.

I've been running different strategies on "Win Poker" and "Frugal
Poker" and the most credits I've been able to hit in 60 hands is
about 550. (two quads) I did hit a straight flush once, but the
total was still below 500.

I now have five and 3/4 tickets. I'll probably play about six or
seven at the end of the month.

PS: I got killed today. Blew threw 700 dollar credits on Pick'Em
without getting dealt 3 of a kind or 3 to a straight flush. Very
unusual.

Hey Pappy I'm still struggling to get my 500 points for an entry, even
resorted to playing watch the paint dry-------I mean pickem in a
desperate attempt to build my point balance. Am probably half way
there and should make it the last week of the promo.

Preston,

Don't gamble any more than you're comfortable with. Last week I
played on the dollar machines and blew $800 trying to rack up
points...Stupid!

Play your regular game for what you normally play for and if you
get 500 points...so be it. It's almost impossible to hit 600 credits
or a royal in a 3 minute session anyway. Luck is what mostly
determines who are the winners. I've been playing a royal/straight
flush strategy on my "Win Poker" software and haven't hit a royal in
maybe 20,000 hands so far.

For those of you who have "Win Poker", here's how to set it up to
show you the correct strategy for going after the royals and straight
flushes.

   Change the pay tables to: RF--4000, SF--100, 4 OF A KIND--5. Then
set it at autoplay and watch how the computer plays and remember it
when you take your chance or chances on the 9/6 JB promo machines.

I'll be at Greektown Sunday and will finish off my totals, which
should be about 3,000 points for the event.
