There were quite a few quarter PickEms that had been downgraded as of
Thursday, sounds like all the ones you happened to check were still FP. It's
good to hear that they haven't messed will all of them yet, though. Maybe they
won't........
You're quite right about the average player not bothering to check
paytables. That's a universal phenomenon, and it's particularly true in Michigan
(as opposed to Vegas, for example). It's long been my guess that about 1 in
5,000 players here are true students of the game, and the ratio is probably
higher than that. Motor City used to have a bank of quarter MG progressives with
NSUD on them, at 99.7%+. Yet the majority of the players would be banging
away at the other game choices, all of which were pretty ugly.

I was at Greektown tonight and all of the $ .25 pickem games that I
checked (at least 10 machines) were still using the full pay. Can't
check all of the machines as they are in use and the players are
playing games other than pickem. I don't think that the average VP
player knows or cares about the payoff. The $ 1 bar tops hardly get
any play and they are close to 100 %.
