Are there an players left in Detroit? There are too many Casinos that need talked about.

Greektown, Motor City and MGM
Nick,
Good to hear from you. This group lists 197 members but I don't even 10% post to the group.
I'd like to see some feedback on what people are getting for mailers for how much play. That is a critical piece of information in determining where to play.

We are in the area and play a lot in Las Vegas and some here in town. We don't post much since we play both slots and VP and are "Caesars people" locally. That combination hasn't been too popular on any of the VP groups since they don't have full pay VP anymore in Windsor.
If Greektown were to be affiliated with someone in Lv, then we likely would play there if they offered full pay VP.
I am interested in any news at our locals, but there hasn't been much change in CW in the past couple of years.

Mary Jean,
Thanks for the post. Now, to make the data useful, we need a little more information. We need to know how much play generated this offer and what types of machines you play.
Casinos purposefully make their freeplay programs difficult to figure out. Personally, I think Greektown should invest more time and money in getting their machines in good working order, fix their card readers and slot club tracking software, train their booth personnel to be more knowledgeable and less hostile and spend a few more dollars on general housekeeping at their casino instead of worrying about making their freeplay program NSA grade secure. I don't know if Greektown still monitors this site. Greektown, if you do monitor, could you take a look at some of the above?
Back to Greektown freeplay. Please post information on your gaming at Gtown and what you get in the mail. If I get motivated, I'll put a form on this yahoogroup.
For example:
Hi, this is Nathan Detroit. In May, 2013 I played $12,500 coin in on the $0.25 9/6 JOB video poker in the room just north of the people mover station on the second floor. I also played $4000 coin in on the nickel 50 play 7/5 Super Aces. I lost $370 for the month. In my May mailings, I received $25 4 times a month and one free room Sunday - Thursday.
Once we have a couple of months of actual play data, we can see what we can figure out about how much play generates what kind of mailing.
Yes, it is a pain but it's the only way to figure out what is going on and to help stretch the gambling budget. For example, if $25,000 coin in generates the same offers as $15,000 coin generates, I'd rather play to the $15,000 coin in number.
Keeping records also is a good check to make sure that Greektown is crediting your play correctly. If you go to the booth on a points discrepancy, the first thing the boothlings will say is " Our numbers are right, please go away". I think they have the same customer service training as IRS agents ( not all booth workers but enough to make the experience unpleasant).
So, being a knowledgeable customer is your best protection. It's all about getting value for your gambling dollar.
I propose we ( this group) start on July 1st. Track your play and your offers, report it here and I'll gather up the data.
Who's with me?

I have been mostly playing 9/6 JoB. Sometimes NSUD.... Mostly at the $1 level but I don't know what my coin in is. Would I have to go to the card booth to get that?
I also play DDB and DB for a time to see if I might hit something.
In May I rec'd $100 per week for 5 visits and in June $50 each for 4 visits. (I never go that often) .. I also get a bunch of "free gifts" if you come on such and such a day but the lines are so long I don't bother.
I also get 1 or 2 free nights per month but no longer use these.
Hope that helps some.

Dave,
I used to play at Windsor since the freeplay and offers were so good. Just because the base game isn't great doesn't mean it's not worth a play. Very few places have a base game that is good enough for you to have an edge. It's all in the cash back, comps, mailers and offers.
Please post any info about your play in Windsor and what offers it generates. Thanks.
