Greektown changing of the guard

Sal is the guy who posted the article about the barred players which
stated how much Greektown loves winners and that the 9 players barred
posed a threat to the 4.3 million other customers at G'town.

Greektown Casino replaces key executive

DETROIT — Long-time gaming manager Craig Ghelfi is the new chief
operating officer at Detroit's Greektown Casino,

Ghelfi, 52, replaces Sal Semola, who held the executive position at
Greektown for two years.

Good bye Sal and good riddance!

He wasn't a friend of video poker players or Detroit gamblers in
general. In that unheard of move of barring certain vp winners, he
could have started a trend by casinos to kick out any gamblers who
they thought could "possibly" win some money from them.
He sent the message that Greektown Casino only wants gambling
idiots playing there and would tolerate no winners.

"The casinos think that anyone who enters their doors to gamble
should lose. And if they don't, in spite of all the fake smiles and
cordiality, they would bar knowledgeable gamblers in a Detroit second
if it wasn't for all the bad publicity they'ed receive."

Maybe this new guy will bring back some of the old vp games that
old Sal had removed. (like 9/6 Jack's or Better and full pay Pick'Em)
And maybe this new guy will start advertising that Greektown Casino
wants all the vp players to come back. And maybe they would like to
be known as one of the best places to play video poker in the Midwest
once again. And maybe this new guy will even ask old VP Pappy to set
up a new video poker room ( I can see it now: "VP Pappy's Pick'Em
Poker Parlor") that has some fair games. And maybe they will once
again honor their pact with the Detroit voters who gave them their
mandate to erect a place to gamble with fair games and not rip-off
ones. Yea, right!
There's about as much chance of that happening as there is of
Carrot Top being elected president.

"I can't believe that the casinos have anything but contempt for
their patrons."

In this case, any change that gets rid of old Sal is a start in
the right direction. We'll see what's next in the continuing saga
of, "AS THE CASINO TURNS"

   Good Luck guys---TM & VP
