I don't understand what makes this a "great" contest. Do you have any information as to how many entries are required for them to give away a certificate? When I looked at it, it appeared that they had 182 entries so far and that wasn't enough to qualify for one certificate. That implies each entry is worth less than $1. It may be free to enter, but if you value your time and gas, this is a negative EV situation. Why should anyone bother? Bob

So your argument seems to be that if it's "free" then it's "great". My argument is that nothing with a value of pennies is "great." To each his own, I suppose. Bob

---I have no argument. Just presenting a "great" free contest. I know you
like the attention, Bob, but doggoneit, sometimes things are just "fun!" It
will be pretty "great" for the winner who just took a few seconds to click a
button or write a few comments! Good luck! Btw, just curious about where
you were driving to save all that valuable "time and gas" you spoke of by
entering an online contest? Was that an "over-my-head" metaphor? Geez, Bob,
lighten up! Where's Frank when we need him?? J Better yet, have Shirley
take a "pot shot" at the contest! Ya never know what might happen!
(wink-wink!) LOL. If all else fails, you got some nice material for your
"blog!" Pretty cool EV, huh? J

I guess my "to each his own" is for all the people playing that Harrah's
contest day and night for the past 3 months trying to win a $10 comp!
Yikes!

Just makes me wonder if someone had his appearance fees cut off. And I don't mean that with any disrespect. Just curious.

-I'll take "to each his own" for the Harrahs contest for the $10 comp considering I ended up with $180 in comps and a $15 Macy's gift card.

Piddly or Great, I'd just like to mention that I'm a big fan of the Riviera. I don't want this place to become a hole in the ground like the Stardust. I'm trying to visit the place more oftern, and I'm trying to steer my out-of-town guests there too. Wouldn't it be great if they installed some decent video poker. Support the Riv.

And speaking of the Stardust, why doesn't Boyd just admit their mistake and put it back? Abandon this Echelon monstrosity and rebuild the Stardust, maybe a little bigger and better, but recognizable. Locals & tourists would flock to the place.
