Graton Resort/Casino in Rhonert Park

Has anyone checked out the VP inventory at this brand new casino?

Thank you,

I've heard second-hand from a few people who have been there. They said they haven't found any good video poker, but I'm not sure what denominations they looked at.

the VP is very bad - nothing good, and virtually all under 98% - and my understanding is that the comp/freeplay rate is 0.05%. the blackjack is the worst i’ve ever seen, CSMs and 6:5 even on most of the $25-minimum tables. their attitude is clearly “we will get customers because of our location no matter how bad the games are, so we will take full advantage of it.”

it is well worth the longer drive from the bay area to visit cache creek instead.

cheers,

I am not surprised to hear your report. When you are the closest casino for more than a million people you don't have to concern yourself with offering great games. If I were the owner of this casino I would probably do the same. I noticed that Cache Creek is advertising heavily on TV in the Sacramento area. They hold up signs advising of their 99% video poker, 95% penny machine returns and the good blackjack conditions.

The irony is, while Graton may be closer to SF in miles, you will probably get to Cache Creek faster, if going on a weekday.

The widening they are doing of the 101 that starts right past San Rafael causes horrendous traffic jams for miles and miles. That “43 minutes from bay to play” is total BS.
