I don't play at this casino, but if the buffet deal says you must "earn" 2000 points to get the buffet, that probably means you must actually play and not just use the 10,000 points they gave you.
Their website says that every $1 coin-in earns 1.5 points on video poker. So $1334 coin-in should earn the 2000 points.
