Does anyone know the VP coin-in per point formula for Biloxi and
Gulfport? Looking at May, "gift" of the month is a T-shirt for 300
points at Gulfport but only 12 points at Biloxi?-- Does anyone know of
any extra point days or if/when they are changing over to Harrahs
Rewards program?

(Note: I replied to this same question on the MSGamblers group, but
since vpFREE reaches a much wider audience, I'll copy my answer here.)
Both Grands on the coast use the same point formula for VP, which is
$10 coin in per point. Cash back for VP is .33% at both places.
300 points therefore means $3000 coin in, which takes about an hour at
dollar VP.
At the Biloxi Grand it's NOT 12 points for the gift, rather they
deduct $12 from your comp account. I'm not sure how many points it
takes at VP to earn $12 in comps, but from experience I suspect it is
something more along the lines of 600 to 1000 points. I've never been
able to figure out their comp formula (and I've tried!). It may vary
depending on which kind of machine you play. It's also appears that
your comp balance ramps up quickly when starting at $0, but then
slows down to a crawl once you reach a certain level (thus preventing
mid to high level players from easily accumulating massive account
balances).
I've always thought that the Biloxi Grand system of deducting dollars
from your comp balance for the gift of the month is a ripoff,
especially when compared to the other Grand. At the Gulfport Grand,
you put in your 300 points worth of play, and you get the gift
for "free", saving your comp dollars for something useful like food.
So far they are not talking about changing over to Harrah's Rewards
program.
