there isn't - when I vacation away from Vegas, I enjoy a rest from it.
Was there a couple of years ago on one leg of a tour of shopping malls (Mall
of America). Don't remember any VP that I could recommend but a lot could
change in 2 years. Do have good memories of the casino:
--Found out about it while staying at Minneapolis Hilton. Shuttles came by to
take you on a nightly tour of the nearby casinos & Hinckley & Mystic were 2
of the stops. Don't remember much about Mystic except that it was crowded & I
didn't want to gamble there.
--For the price of a night at the Hilton, we could rent a car, stay 2 nights
(about $40/night then) & still have money left over which is what we did.
--Enjoyed the quiet drive through the countryside & also the small town of
Hinckley. BTW this is not the Hinkley in the movie "Erin Brockovich". That
town is in California a few miles outside of Barstow.
--Got a slot card & played a few hours of losing quarter VP. For the next
year, we received more monthly promotional mail from this one stop than we
did from any of the NV casinos which are much closer.
--The rooms were clean, meals were above average & the experience was
entertaining which made up for a disappointing stop at the Mall of America.
(To me, Mall of America is like a lot of other mega-shopping centers, but its
distinction is that it is the biggest. Only shop that I can remember never
seeing elsewhere is the USPS store if you're in to stamps.)
