goodbye Glass Pool Inn...........

I'm not sure this post belongs here but fellow Vegas lover's may be
able to relate to this. ...

I was sad when they blew up the Landmark because it was
the "Landmark", and the Sands because of the many special memories I
made there but I am almost in tears that the "Glass Pool" will be
demolished. I stayed there once about 25 years ago when I was too
young to gamble and it was a holiday weekend and my gambling mom and
aunt decided to make a last minute trip to Vegas and we had no prior
reservations. I hung out at the pool the whole weekend and watched
other tourists come and go from their rooms to pool and their cars.
What a "different" kind of place. I just love driving into Vegas and
getting off at the Airport exit just to drive up the strip and see
the Glass Pool Inn and all other things that are unique to Vegas...Oh
well another Icon gone to the wrecking ball.

I hope they don't tear it down until after my next trip to Vegas in
January.....so I can get one last long look....
