Good Times Rollin' in NOLA

Hi Bob:
The progressive jackpot is on the royal only. There are three of them, each
at the end of a double row of machines. The middle one was over $5,000 but
was tied up by a husband-wife team that would play it all day then close
it overnight. They also closed it periodically during the day ... to eat, I
would guess. The progressive on the one on the left was around $4,300 and
the one on the right, that Hedy lit up, was around $4,200. The meters are
very slow. Only one time in all the trips we've made to New Orleans did we
ever see one of the royals over $6,000.
Like you, I'm not very savvy about Facebook, so I don't know how to access
anything on it. It's Hedy's thing.
Regards,
CoachVee

Just curious, what were the progressives? Was it 1-way Royal progressive
only? And what was the dollar amount? Did they go up very fast?

Thanks for the exciting trip report. I'm not too Facebook-savy, but do
you have a link to the pics on Facebook?

*just curious. was the wife asian? i have never been to nola when that
couple didn't tie up those machines 24 hours a day (literally; management
indulges them, for obvious reasons) until they hit the progressive (i don't
know what their trigger amount is).

FWIW, just to tie things together ...

The Asian woman is Korean. She and I had a pleasant chat on and off during my initial 6 hours session on the adjacent Jacks this morning. (She goes by "D" -- actual first name starts with the letters "HY".)

Just stopped by after a dinner at Besh. Meter is a hair shy of $6K. I gather she has near to that, or more, in markers out today alone.

Given a meter advance of about .1%, from anecdotal observation, it's my guess that Harrah's easily sees a 2% hold on her play. 3%+ is much more likely the case. ($100+/hr is a no-brainer)
