Good Start

It wasn't the first pull - but mighty close to it. Orleans, back in the days
of plentiful FPDW. Deb and I stopped in to take another whack at 'em, she
took the machine that I had hit the ducks on the day before. So I took the one
she had lost her a$$ on. Third hand, dealt Royal. If looks could kill.......
    :-)

This was maybe 45 minutes after I had hit one at GVR playing some goofy
triple-double-GodKnowsWhat tricked up game that she had chosen. Still the closest
I've ever gotten to back-to-back Royals.

This is not about a Royal.. I'm still waiting for that.. but the very
first
pull today playing 10/7 DB was a pair of aces and the other two popped up
on
the redraw. First time I've ever had a great hand just sitting down.

Anyone else have any stories about that first pull?

In my early days, I used to drive from Cape Cod to Foxwoods (2 hr drive). I left if I lost $400 or won $200 (I had an inadequate bankroll, but I had fun and usually played for hours). I stopped at a change machine to change my $20 bill into $10 bills (superstition). I accidentally pressed some buttons and got $20 in half dollars. I decided to play them through a machine instead of having the machine recount them. I picked a DBAF machine and put five coins in when Four Aces showed up on the deal.

I collected my $400and went home with my bankroll intact about fifteen minutes after I had arrived.

Posted before but two years ago at the Casino
Royale my wife did not get her monthly free room
coupons. I was told first she needed 500 points then
later 500 points AVERAGE per trip so at 6:50 PM I
decided to put some points on her card. Triple points
ended at 7:00 PM. We were still on Dallas time so she
was getting ready for bed. At 6:55 playing $5 8/5
Bonus instead of my usual $1 four big diamonds popped
up and We hit the Royal! $20K! Even the cashback (this
is a coin out place) was $150 on that hand!!
My last trip I stopped in at Terrible's one night
to pick up a tshirt on a coupon. 15 minutes later
headed to the cashier to cash in a few cheques,
noticed a $1 VP progressive next to the cashier line,
decided to invest a Benjamin, hit the royal in a few
minutes for $4224. While waiting for the handpay some
guy asked me how long I had been playing. I am sorry
to admit I got great satisfaction by really pissing
him off when I replied, "Almost 5 minutes, I think".
