Good Luck or Broken Machine?

Folks - I have an incredible story to tell, and I know it will sound
like a story, but it really happened to me tonight. This happened in
Caesars at a ddb machine.

I hit the aces 7 times! 6 times with a high card, and the last one with
a kicker. It was all on one machine and I must've played about 8 hours
on it because it just wouldn't let me go.

Now I don't know anybody who is that lucky, so I have to assume the
machine was calibrated wrong, but I'm not complaining.

I would still be there right now except my eyes began to cross and I
noticed after all those hours that I was actually beginning to disgard
pairs!

I know it all sounds unbelievable - I still can't believe it myself.
I've seen some pretty weird things happen in casinos, but this one
takes the cake!

Had a machine like that at the Orleans back when DB was still full
pay for $1. Took out over 9G not counting a dealt royal at $2 level.

Every so often can't do anything wrong. Have to enjoy these rare
times.

Would you be talking about the Orleans in LV? My favorite casino and
where I stay when I go.

Wonderful and exceptional! But I find it quite credible ...

Of course, I should qualify that: It's not often that someone should
play a single machine uninterrupted for 8 hours. That simple act
makes the experience particularly singular -- possibly as much as
hitting 7 sets of Aces over the course of 8 hours of play.

In any case, if I worked the numbers correctly (and my mind's not been
the sharpest this evening) under the assumption of a modest 5000
hands, the probability of 7 or more quad Aces is 1 in 12000 -- far
from an astronomical probability. Of course, for a single very
actively played machine, 7 sets of Aces in 8 hours of play during a
day is likely a once in 30 years event.

Yeper..That's the one. I don't stay Orleans that often. I stay between
LVH and the Stardust.(soon to be dust) I'm now looking for second
casino as when I go Vegas I'll mostly go 7-8 days. 4 or 5 in one then
the rest in other. Stardust would comp me all week and LVH would also.
However, by splitting up my trip I believe I get more cash coupons etc
from mailings. I really like Orleans but they were never liberal with
room comps for me. My old slot host from Dust is now at Orleans. I'm
wondering how things might be with Stardust closing.
