On Saturday I went over to MGM to play a $20 free play offer.
Started out on the quarter progressive bank of machines playing
Double Bonus. (99.1%) I put in a $20 and after I played out
the free 80 credits, got dealt a straight with four diamond royals
in it. Threw the Ace of hearts away and "BANG!" the Ace of diamonds
went onto the hand for a royal.

It was worth $1500. Cashed out the excess money that was left
over and headed for the door. Decided to blow the ticket on a 25
cent slot machine. Put it into one of those crazy Double Haywire
machines. You know the ones. The ones that make that weird
electrical sound when you get the free spin. It sounds something
like, "EEERRROOOWWWWEEERRROOOWWWEEE!!!" It's a hoot!
I some how managed to get the Double Haywire symbol and two
triple bars lined up. What a racket it made as it "EEERRROOOWWWEEED"
three times in giving me 900 credits for another $225. I cashed out
and headed for Greektown.

At GT, the VP bar progressive was at $5100. I played Bonus Poker
(99.66%) and when I hit a quad, cashed out $75 ahead. Put the $75
ticket into a dollar Pick'Em machine and after losing most of it,
hit four sevens for $600. That's it. I'm outta here.
On Sunday, it was very different; I lost all day (about $600)
playing quarter and dollar Pick'Em. Dolores hit the four deuces in
the poker room on Bonus Deuces and managed to stay even on Pick'Em,
so she ended up awinner. We did have a nice dinner in the Alley
Griil, and I had a good bottle of wine (Markem Chardonnay), so the
day was still not all lost for me.
See you on the 6th.
