Golden Nugget Offers (Or Lack Thereof)

Has anyone received a "Spring" offer from the GN?

I am accustomed to receiving regular offers from the GN marketing
department, which typically include free nights, substantial
free-pay, and sometimes other goodies as well.

Other than an invitation to a "Birthday Dinner" at which I would
be given a present, I have received no mail from the GN since last
Fall.

I am beginning to think, as one of my very intelligent friends wrote
me today, that "theo isn't everything". I have a feeling that my
offers have dried up because, on each of my last 3 stays, I won!

Does any member of the board have an opinion about this?

I too have noticd a lack of offers from GN since Jan. I won last
trip but lost the time before with a minimal year loss. I think this
might be due in part to all the renovations going on there.

My wife and I also noticed this lack of offers & called the Golden
Nugget. We have become accustomed to calling and not only receiving a
comped room for 4 or 5 nights, but also $200-$300 in free slot play.
I was shocked when I was offered $76 a night and nothing else!
Looks like corporate america has struck another deadly blow!!!!!!

I'm still getting a ton of offers from GN. There seems to be at least
some type of promo every other week or so. I keep a separate folder
just for all the GN offers.

I was just at GN's invitational BJ Tournament last weekend, and the
place was hopping all weekend long. Machines were full, and not an
empty seat at any BJ table all weekend.

Earned Comps stay in the system for at least 18 months.

They have cut back on some of the highly popular lower dollar prized
slot tournaments.

I know they like to see at least 4 hours of play a day.

I'm seeing a lot of the same folks who are regulars.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for responding to my question.

AS I said in my original post, I have the "feeling" that they're not
thrilled with me because I actually came out ahead on my last three
trips.

You mention that they like to see four hours of daily play. I
actually play at least eight hours, sometimes ten or more hours
daily. I do play only their best EV VP. Most of what they have
barely exceeds 99%. The best plays (IMO) are their proprietory
Bonus Flush JOB and the reversible royal 9/7DB. I also play 8/5BP.
I basically play single-line/3play/5play and rarely 10play quarters.
My daily coin-in is usually about $10K.

Perhaps it is the combination of winning and playing their "best" VP
that has caused my offers to dry up. I'm unsure as to the cause.

If you would be kind enough to advise me what you play (mostly) and
your average daily coin-in, as well as if your last few trips have
ended "in the black", I would be most appreciate. If you prefer to
respond privately, that would be fine.

Thank you.
