Golden Nugget LV reduces cashback

Reduced cashback has now spread to $5 video poker. All the
machines I checked in high limits, including the newly reintroduced
9/6 JoB, now require $20 (instead of $15) for 5c cashback. This 33%
reduction in cashback results in a greater than 67% increase in casino
advantage over optimum play ( 3.075 cents vs 5.15 cents per hand ).
The slot director's desire to shaft the players is further exemplified
by the fact that he has the machines set so that countdowns are lost
when your card is removed. Note as they continue to raise countdowns,
this results in an increase in lost cashback due to card removal
(including the staff every time you get a handpay -- not insignificant
on high denomination games like Double Bonus and Double Double
Bonus). Back in the Steve Wynn days, point countdowns were retained
when removing card and even when changing machines.

I hate to be so blunt, but what do you expect? The new management
had made clear to the press he does not want real gamblers, he is
building entertainment centers, aquariums etc. I was stunned to see
in a dealers pub, the kind of tokes that people are still earning
there - why would anyone play there - forget about it
