So what do you think? Should we add the 99.2% VP to the database listings?
I just had a look at the GNL listing and there isn't much listed anymore.
GNL still has a pretty strong comp program that has not changed much through
three administrations. To my surprise Landrys has left this part of the
operation alone up till now. If you get the bi-monthly mailer you get double point
coupons and Golden Getaway points you use for rooms. This overall "play" is
strong and predictable.
My guess is my play over the last five years has added about 2% towards
comped rooms (based on $30/night, $60 weekends), if you can burn it all up. A base
cashback rate of .15-.19% is matched with a doubled amount for the banked
comp account.
Landrys finally is offering a break or two in their franchised restaurants
during off hours.
Anyway database update as of 2/27/07:
The one quarter Sigma Bonus Deuces 9/4/4 (99.4%) has reappeared on the floor.
It is north of the stand-alone change booth. There really is only one $1
Jacks now, not two.
OK, these have been on the floor for years but never made into the database-
2- $1 Bonus 8/5 slant-tops north of the stand-alone change booth.
2- .25 Bonus 8/5 skinny uprights south of the stand-alone change booth.
There could be more Bonus 8/5.
Now how about a bank of 12 Sigma Double Double Jackpot 8/6/5 south of live
Keno. This is 99.27% (var 38). Eight are .50 and four are $1. These are old
clunkers who have been in the house for years.
It was about February 2004 when they got downgraded along with so many more
machines. They didn't have such a hard fall as other plays. Who remembers
that purge?
BS
