Jim - I just got back on a return trip from Laughlin; needed to use
their facilities (after 4 hours of desert heat, I was ready for a
short break. I didn't PLAY, just scouted around, purchased a needed
flavored drink in the travel ctr, and left.
Here's what I found for MAY:
4x pts Sunday, but ONLY until 9 pm! (I think 9-9 daily!).
2x pts Mondays, 3x pts Tuesdays, similar TIME restrictions!
No SINGLE LINE FULLPAY anywhere I looked.
Those old GK/Multi-games are now in a few separate banks;
However, checking various denoms and games, I found NOTHING of value.
4 of 8-10 TEN PLAYS ARE fullpay for .05-.25-$1.
In fact, one of the 'dollar' players had a w2G win on NSUD;
probably hit 2 sets of ducks.
Fullpay games I noticed were NSUD, JB, SAB (Super Aces, if you like
the Super STREAKY game), SDB (less streaky, more chances at some wins,
incl SF 400s).
I forgot to check db.
The FULLPAY versions have EIGHT game options available; every other
slanttop machine has only SEVEN versions (shortpay) available.
I didn't check all 3 denoms on all 7 games (21 items to check), but
the few I did were shortpay games vs. the EIGHT option machines...
SO - with only FOUR playable machines, is it really worth the drive
out there? And gee - they offer gas at a bargain of $4.19 per gallon!
yikes!!
Little known secret - but keep them in business;
On this route to Laughlin, gas up in Parker, Havasu or even
in BLYTHE, CA ! (yes - like Baker on the LV route, but GAS prices are
actually reasonable! - except for Chevron/Exxons/Shell/Mobils).
Choose Arcos and Valeros!
Martin.

I haven't played much at all at Golden Acorn in the last year or so,
but this month I got a mailer with the following coupons: $5
Blackjack Match Play, 200 Free Points (worth $2), and a couple of food
coupons. Not enough value to justify the drive from San Diego, but I
still thought it was interesting that they suddenly sent it.
When I was there a few weeks ago I couldn't find the $0.50/$1 NSUD. I
know where they used to be (a little to the left as you walk from the
entrance to the middle of the casino), but the pay schedules had been
downgraded. Has anyone found NSUD there in the last month or so? If
so, please describe where and what denomination(s), multi-play, etc.
I'm interested because they are also having 4X points on Sundays this
month (at least), which means a full 1% cash back.
Thanks,
Jim
