snipped more good info that I've filed for future reference. Thanks.

BTW Bill, they've NEVER checked me for ID/credentials to enter the
DC! They always have some nice and tasty (hot and cold) food
selections available. Top shelf drinks are always comped.

RE the Directors Club -- which I assume is the private area upstairs next to Fairbanks -- I had a high-roller friend who has taken me in with him a couple of times as a guest. Yes, it is very nice, and I expecially like some sort of a cold sliced sausauge. Now I'm getting hungry, too.

Thanks.

An interesting thing happened to me when I visited the Director's Club during my trip last month. The nice lady tending bar asked for my Marquee Player's club. She swiped it at the cash register. Anyone else experience this? It may be something new they're doing this year since it never happened last year.

That is very interesting and the first I've heard about this
practice. They were not doing this the first week of December.

This seems to have changed. I spoke to Christian today about an
upcoming visit I have to confirm that I am still Marquee (since my
Directors Club status was downgraded). He said that I am, BUT they do
now review accounts a couple times per year regarding Marquee status.

I also found out that if you do not have Directors Club status that
room comps (if given from a host) count against your comp account. If
you use the mailer coupons they send out, they rooms do NOT count
against your comp account.
