I was there a few weeks ago, and Gold Strike has reduced their pay tables again. They had $1 DB
9/7/5, and DDB 9/6/4 about a month ago. They have reduced these games again. I believe these pay tables ar now 9/6/5 and 9/5/4 respectively. I did’t look upstairs, but I do know they reduced their brand new machines.

Forgive me if I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’re mistaken about this report (or that the machines have been relocated … ).
I’m in Tunica next weekend; If someone doesn’t beat me to it, I’ll report back with confirmation or denial.

You are correct. They had a few 9/7 DB and 9/6 DDB at dollar level. Everything has been reduced in tunica. Very little freeplay. Food comps are difficult to get. At 25cent level there is no playable booker in tunica. I live 30 minutes away and have been once the past year. I just save my money and go to Vegas
Every 2-3 months. They still have full pay 10/7 DB and 9/6 DDB at several downtown casino’s it is also available at Palms Palace Station 9/7 DB is widely available downtown. See vpfree for breakdown of all casino’s

I think Tunica is dying on the vine. And like many other places, when
business is bad they try to squeeze more profit from the few customers they
have left. Drives them away too. It is a death spiral that only has one
outcome.
There are probably several reasons for this but near the top of the list is
service. For us, Tunica has the distinction of providing both the best
service and the worst service we have experienced in a casino. The best,
Fairbanks in Hollywood and the worst almost everywhere else, especially the
now closed Harrah’s.
A big part of the casino experience is being treated with respect and
appreciated as a customer. It’s what keeps us coming back. Lucky Lucy and
I are Diamond players at Harrah’s and Emerald at Sam’s Town. In Las Vegas
and other places we are treated well and our business is appreciated. Not
so much in Tunica. In face just the opposite; distain, raciest,
indifference, bad attitudes, blatant discrimination. I can site dozens of
examples. So why put up with that crap when we can go almost anyplace else
and be treated like valued customers.
