Gold Mine Video Poker

One of our local Indian Casinos has multi games at the bar. Until
they changed out the machines there used to be a VP game called Gold
Mine. Every time you got a full house (with Max coins in) you would
be given a chance to chose three of five gold nuggets. You would then
be paid from 60 to 1000 coins (these machines were quarters). They
also paid a bonus for 4 aces, & 4-2,3,4's. I analized the game and if
you would average 90 coins on the full house's it was a 99% payback.
I have not seen these anywhere else. I live in Arizona & go to
Laughlin & Las Vegas, NV. If anyone has seen this game I would
appreciate knowing where. I enjoyed playing them and came out pretty
good most of the time. Hit 1000 coins more than once and several
times hit 800.

Thanks

Last I looked -a few months ago- they still had this game in Atlantic
City, at Tropicana, for example. I'm trying to remember where have I
seen it in Las Vegas, but can't recall. You should check those
Bally's Game Maker machines, they often have it on those.

I have a question. There is a similar game that came out the same
year Gold Mime Poker came out, both put out by Bally's Gaming. This
one I can't remember the name -something like Party Poker, or Casino
Poker. You also got a bonus every time you hit a Full House, and the
Bonus consisted of playing a Blackjack hand. Last time I saw this
game was about two years, on Game Makers, near what is now the
million dollar shopping free pull at Caesars Palace. They thook those
out. I liked this game more than Gold Mine. I don't remember the pays
on the blackjack bonus, but they were very generous. I hardly ever
lost on money on this game, yet the machines were always available.
No wonder the game seems to be gone, it was too good to be true. If
anyone has seen it anywhere, please tell us where too.

I seem to remember seeing this game at the small bar by the hotel
entrance at the Reno Hilton a couple of years ago. Could have long
since changed.

I saw this game over the weekend at the Las Vegas Hilton in the
sportsbar area against the wall near the restrooms. However, they
were in the .05 denomination only. I also played this game in the $1
variety about a year ago at the New York New York.
This game seems to be abundant in Northern Nevada. I have found them
in most places in Lake Tahoe and Reno area.

I believe you can find Gold Mine in all the .25 slant-top GameMakers
at Bally's, the ones which have PE on them.
