Gold Coast mailer

I again checked today at GC and was told by apparent supervisor in Club
booth that definitely it now takes $42,000 coin in (not points) for the mailer
that was $10,000 coin in.

This still makes no sense to me.

A friend asked at Suncoast and was told there were no changes, but if GC has
changed, it seems to me that Orleans and Suncoast would have to have
changed. Has anyone checked?

I'm still thinking there is some sort of confusion regarding points and coin
in. After all - why push the requirement up to more than 4x as much as it
was? If I were to play $30,000 through reels at Harrahs I'd become a Diamond
member (10,000 base at $3 a point). Playing $20,000-40,000 through in 1 day
at any strip hotel is going to get you numerous mailers, and probably a
gourmet meal or two, plus cashback. And why such an odd amount - $42,000? Why
not $40,000 - a nice round number? But if we were talking points, with most
days being 3X at GC, then 42,000 points would be equivalent to $14,000 coin in
- just a bit more than the old requirement.

Anyway, doesn't make sense -- but until I hear this is points or has
changed, we no longer will put our usual $20,000+ through a month there.

For $10K+ coin-in played in October, December mailer from Gold Coast reduced free play from $75 to $25(one for$5, and 2x$10) plus a "mystery play" for another $10, and instead of food coupon for $25 gives 4 silly $5 coupons each valid during a different week.
