Gold Coast Mailer - More Bad news

I was in Gold Coast today and was shocked when Coast Club person told me as
of this month you need $42,000 coin in (not points - definitely coin in) to
get the same mailer that previously took $10,000 coin in. For $15,000 you get
the next worst mailer (just $5 free play each week), about $6700 for worse
than that, and presumably a lot more than $42,000 in for the former top mailer.

I don't know if Orleans and Suncoast have similar changes, but it would seem
likely. I told the Club guy that at this rate they would have no local
players. I think it is nuts! If I play $42,000 coin in on 1 or 2 days on the
strip, I'm going to get gourmet meals, invites to tournaments, rooms, and cash
back.

Suggested alternate venues would be Wynn with its special "locals" cashback
mailers (very very good for reels or mixed reel/VP play), or Venetian.
Planet Hollywood's cashback isn't great, but it does have a lot of slot
tournaments and VP tourneys. If you played $100,000 through at Harrah's property on VP
or $30,000 reels, you'd become Diamond and could eat/drink in their clubs
every day of the week, plus get tournament invites, and some cashback
(approximately about $45 I think, depending on your bonus points) plus $100-200 in
comps (again depending on bonus credits). If you did your play on just 1 or 2
days to increase your daily average, you might well get invitations for Visa
cards, cash, Macy's cards, or similar special events. Both Wynn and Venetian
have 9/6 JB machines, so if you are a VP player, that would be equivalent to
GC's best NSU or 9/6. (The full pay quarter banks now are $2 for 1 point at
GC.)

Most locals are small players who are not suddenly going to go from $10,000
coin in a month to 4 times that!

If anyone stops in at Orleans or Suncoast, let us know about those changes.

Time to write another letter to Coast!

This an excellent post. It avoids all mention of the $2 per point on
FP machines. It sticks to the issue and explain why it is not in Coast
Casino's best interest to go forward. The club at Gold Coast is
laready taking major abuse from customers according to a rep I talked
to on the phone.
Any letters I would suggest sticking to complaints about the one
issue and nothing else. A rep I spoke to at Suncoast said that their
are no changes there. This may be a trail at GC to see if it does not
blow up in their face. they won't miss us but if their regulars walk
Coast Casino's may back down. It would not the first time a company
backed down in the face of customer negative reaction/

My Orleans mailer for November for 10K coin in was reduced from what had been the standard 4x$25 to 5x$10
Not worth the trip( unless combined with Palms and/or Gold Coast)
