Gold Coast Full-pay shut down

As of 10 am today, the 16 full-pay quarter FPDW, DB, and DDB are shut
down. Bad, bad, bad! I had 5 sets of ducks on these in the last 2
days. There was always a machine available though there were lots of
people who appeared to be knowledgable players, but still many who had
no clue and were just playing them because of the 100% sign.

Also the conversion to coin-in is being delayed. Surprise, surprise!
I didn't think there was any way they could convert that quickly. As
of right now - noon on Monday, they can't get your total point balance
or issue any cash back. We leave on Wednesday. I hope it's fixed by
then. You can't pay anywhere with points either - have to go to the
club for a comp which is at their discretion because they can't check
your points either.

I guess I'll be heading for the Palms now.

I'm using my laptop with netzero dial-up. Local calls are free.

By 10:30 last night they were back in service, but as predicted now
require $2 per point. Points accumulate much more slowly at that rate
and without the reward for the winning hands. If I didn't believe in
the math of the game I would be suspicious of what else they may have
done with the machines, because I won over $1,000 the first 2 days and
yesterday I couldn't even catch enough quads to save me. I do believe
in the math though so I'll continue to plug away.

I'm wondering though if I'm better off playing NSUD. I'd better go
check with my software.
