Gold Coast comps

Question for you:

How did you swing getting the discretionary comps.

Our last trip there (2 weeks ago) we stayed there, comped for 3 nights. We
averaged about 6K per day and it was barely a day. We got in LATE friday and
left by 6:00 am Monday.
We did speak to Nicole (SHE'S GREAT), but didn't get any added comps.

We put 2 meals (low charges) on our room charge but that didn't get covered
either.

thanks

I recently stayed there for the first time although I had some play
with them over the years. I was on a two day offer which included a
$50 food credit with two additional days at casino rate. On play of
7k - 8k I recieved enough dicretionary comps for coffee shop and
buffett meals that I did not pay for any food. The casino rate nights
were picked up also. My only charge was a few phone calls.

I mostly talked with host Nicole Labelle as she was the one who made
my reservation but also talked with host Cam Burke when Nicole was
out. I had introduced myself to Nicole on a previous trip. There is a
third host whose name I don't recall. I also had a discretionary comp
written by a shift manager when none of the hosts were on duty.

I'm not clear from your note if have talked with a host concerning
your May room rate or if you have an offer. Anyway, I suggest you
speak with a host before doing anything. Tell them how much you
expect to play and ask what they can do.

I also am planning to go back in late May also. I hope deuces are
still available by then.

I am planning to stay at the Gold Coast at the end of May. I plan

playing quite a bit of FPDW during my stay. I realize that they

offer

cash back OR comps, but I'm interested in finding out about
discretionary comps. Can I get one at the slot club booth? Or do I
have to talk to a host? Can anyone give me any advice on how to

have

my cake and eat it too?
My only prior comp experience is with the big-ass strip casinos.

I had a fifty dollar food credit from my room offer that I used
before asking for a comp. That allowed the hosts to see some play
build up before I asked for anything. The comps I asked for were
buffet or coffee shop with a reasonable dollar limit. I may have had
some amount of hidden points from previous play when I played there
but slept elsewhere. I also averaged 7800k per day during my four day
stay.

I don't know of anything else I did other than apply charm and good
looks.
