Gold Coast - Our November locals mailer announces something new at the Gold Coast. You can now "Trade your Dining Credits for Slot Dollars, equal to your weekly Slot Dollars offer." Or "Trade in your Slot Dollars for an equal amount in Dining Credits."

I take this to mean I can trade in my $50 food credit for $50 in free play. I don't remember any other casino ever doing this, but I hope it spreads.

Rampart - There was an unusually long line to get into the Rampart Promenade Cafe today. Probably due to this ad in one of the neighborhood newspapers:

Baked Stuffed Whole Maine Lobster
Split and Baked with Savory Seafood Stuffing
Vegetables and Choice of Potato

As a tourist the GC is a tough nut to crack. I've given them quite a bit of walk in play while stiffing the Evil Empire down the street. The offers I get are very pedestrian, never free nights, and usually like $10 in free play. The last one was a real doozy - a $5 match play coupon! Yipee! It also included a $29 midweek room rate. I couldn't book airfare fast enough....(-;

On the other hand, the Orleans has been great, and for much less play. GC play has been as high as $8000 in a day - as a walk in.

Go figure, but they would need to do a lot better to get me to stay in the place since the decimated their VP inventory!

This must only be for the higher mailers. My mailer gives me $10 four
times a month for food and there is no mention of exchanging those for
free play. What level is your mailer?

Now that is a price point that can fill a place. The Rampart seems to
be the only place of the three on the westside that keeps trying
different things. Station tried with their $9.99 (and up) three course
meal at the Cafe, which has been a failure. The Suncoast continues to
wallow in its dispair, as their stock has been crushed into single
digits.

It also included a $29 midweek room rate. I couldn't GET ON THE PLANE fast enough....(-;

On the other hand, the GC has been great, and for much less play. GC play has been as high as $8000 in a day - as a walk in. MY LAST OFFER INCLUDED A FREE SUITE, FREE FOOD AND $150 PER DAY IN FREE PLAY!!!!

Go figure, IT SEEMS AS IF YOU'RE ON THE "LIST" AT ON CASINO, YOU'RE OFF ON THE OTHER. . . .
