As a tourist the ORLEANS is a tough nut to crack. I've given them quite a bit of walk in play while stiffing the Evil Empire down the street. The offers I get are very pedestrian, never free nights, and usually like $10 in free play. The last one was a real doozy - PAY $99 TO ENTER ONE OF THEIR SLOT TOURNEYS! Yipee! It also included a $29 midweek room rate. I couldn't GET ON THE PLANE fast enough....(-;
On the other hand, the GC has been great, and for much less play. GC play has been as high as $8000 in a day - as a walk in. MY LAST OFFER INCLUDED A FREE SUITE, FREE FOOD AND $150 PER DAY IN FREE PLAY!!!!
Go figure, IT SEEMS AS IF YOU'RE ON THE "LIST" AT ON CASINO, YOU'RE OFF ON THE OTHER. . . .
JH. . . .COPY THAT. . . . .
Now, a few things to ponder on your ANY day....
"I always admired atheists. I think it takes a lot of faith."
"It is a fine thing to establish one's own religion in one's own heart, not to be
dependent on tradition and second-hand ideals. Life will seem to you, later
not a lesser, but a greater thing." DH Lawrence
"Sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."
"If you want peace, stop fighting. If you want peace of mind-stop fighting with
your thoughts."

Gold Coast - Our November locals mailer announces something
new at the Gold Coast. You can now "Trade your Dining
Credits for Slot Dollars, equal to your weekly Slot Dollars
offer." Or "Trade in your Slot Dollars for an
equal amount in Dining Credits."
I take this to mean I can trade in my $50 food credit for
$50 in free play. I don't remember any other casino ever
doing this, but I hope it spreads.
Rampart - There was an unusually long line to get into the
Rampart Promenade Cafe today. Probably due to this ad in one
of the neighborhood newspapers:
$9.99 + tax
Available 24/7
Baked Stuffed Whole Maine Lobster
Split and Baked with Savory Seafood Stuffing
Vegetables and Choice of Potato
Lemon and Drawn Butter
Soup or Salad
