2 yrs ago, you were right. With the change in VP inventory, it's dropped out
of my golden triangle but it's still my favorite place to stay as their
personnel have always been the best but the effects of going from a Wynn
organization to a KK organization have narrowed the difference compared to other
properties.
Change in inventory may have been a natural consequence of changes that
MGM-Mirage was making at that time when they were in the process of downgrading
inventory a property at a time. But one pro made it a point to strip mine his way
through their good promotions until there was literally nothing left. This
just put the spotlight on the dangers to the bottom-line of the no-limit
promotions at GN & hastened their departure. What was incredible is that GN
management could have imposed controls during the promotions but did not. Later on,
they gutted the promotions so that their regular players have had to shoulder
the burden for past sins.
Who would you blame for the changes? The pro, management or both.
