Global Gaming Expo

The Global Gaming Expo is next week, here in the Las Vegas Convention
Center. I have gone to the Expo about 5 or 6 times and find it to be
pretty informative...the IGT display usually has prototypes of games
that will be on the floor in the coming months.

There are always some new table games that developers are trying to get
some casino to give it a trail run. Most of them are pretty bad...but
every now and then you can spot a keeper.

All the suppliers are in attendance...chairs, chips, all slot machine
manufacturers, promotional giveaways, executive search firms, human
resources,etc. The range is enormous...

In the past I was always able to into the exhibit hall 'gratis'...

Last year someone posted a link to a site where you could register and
get into the exhibits (at no charge). Does anyone know of a link for
this year's Expo?

Yes, but there is a charge ($50.00 or $75.00, depending on when you
register) that I'm trying to avoid...

Oh dear! Earlier I think it was free to just visit the exhibits if you registered online. This may now be too late!

Don,

Any value in attending just the last day? I don't arrive until late on
the 14th, but would love to see some of the new "toys" coming to vegas
soon.

The free deadline passed a couple of weeks ago.

The hours on the 15th are 10a-4:30p and you might want to get there right after the hall opens. Some booths start breaking down around noon and most are packing up from about 2-3p. From noon on is a good time to go around and look for booths that are giving away "everything" because they don't want to pack it up and take it back with them.
