Glare Free Screen & Improved Seats In AC ?

Howdy

Playing 99 % of my time at the not so perfect TP I have not seen any
improvement in the poker vp machines I have played there ..although there seems to
be a proliferation of new slots being installed all over the casino
floor..none of which has anything to do with JOB.

I checked out the beautiful and comp stingy Borgata but did not run across
any glare free etc.. new machinery.

This brings me to the sixty-four thousand question......Is any one aware of
a AC casino that has any state of the art video poker machines that you would
find at a place like Wynn's in LV ?

I was going to ask a similar question, a few days ago.

Is there any move on the part of game manufacturers to replace the
CRT screens on these machines with flat panels?

Sure the initial cost is quite large, but this is the inevitable
trend. And in the long run (no, before we are all dead!) such a move
would save quite a bit of energy, make it easier to lug these
machines around, reduce the space requirement, so the casinos could
squeeze more rows of machines in the same space, ...

I think it would be a Wynn-Win situation!

The Casinos should embark on a project to use Flat Panel Displays for
any new machines. perhaps the new The Palazzo Las Vegas would be the
first.

At Borgata, I did see a few machines being fitted with a little Flat
Panel Display in the section where your slot card is acknowledged. It
greets you by name, and once in while flashes some promotional
material. It is only on some machines. The main part of the machine
is still a glaring, curvy, CRT.

The industry is way ahead of you. The major manufacturer's current
platforms all use LCD screens. The advantages are significant, not
only in reduced glare but the lack of burn-in. They are also more
difficult to see from side angles which is an advantage or
disadvantage, depending on your point of view (pun intended).
