They often have specials where (same day) you can trade, say, $4 in
cashback
for a $10 gift card. I do that every chance I get. I recently did a $87
shopping trip at PetSmart, funded by eight such cards and $7 cash. That
cost me,
in real dollars, $39. I consider that a very good deal!! There are
restaurant cards, too, for restaurants I use. A discount is a discount and
these are
excellent.

Alot of joints/chains offer a premium for comps in a comps OR cashback
system. An example .2% cb or .25% comps.
