Regardless of what you may think of Royalcat, I'm assuming that you'll agree
the info presented was accurate & useful to people, most of whom would fall
into the second-best or lower categories.
In any case, I don't remember many articles on this subject.
And yes, I do have an agenda. I firmly believe that the more people know
about trip-average systems, the more likely it will be that most people will
choose banking systems, everything else being equal.
Regarding your statement about taking full advantage of the comp system while
staying in the good graces of your hosts, that speaks well of your
personality and your consideration of your hosts whom you probably treat as equals
instead of slaves. Kudos to your success. As a local, you're doing what you should
do to turn the comp system in your favor and obtain more than what's stated
in the slot club brochures. Being a local allows you to take full advantage of
the much greater bouncebacks (compared to visitors), attend all the high-value
special invitations, take advantage of events that are undersubscribed, and
many other deals/high EV situations that visitors can't do.
As a visitor, I don't have the time (nor do I want to) work the system to
full advantage. I'd just like to narrow the gap between what locals receive &
what visitors receive. Short of an LV PO box, I don't think visitors will ever
receive what locals get as visitor comp accts are dinged by inflated room
charges which lower other benefits such as bounceback. As competition in CA heats
up, NV casinos will have to re-examine their systems to insure their benefits
"edge" will keep people coming back.
Everything else being equal, I think benefits made available to locals should
also be made available to visitors. The cost/customer is a lot lower for
visitors than for locals due to the much higher breakage rate as visitors can't
cash all the best offers like locals can.
