Getting Tripped and The New Software

Hi,
As I've been exclusively playing at the Sun lately I have become more interested in their policies. I befriended a gentleman who is probably "mid management". He is not a host. I met with him this week and discussed the issues that are being raised on this board. FWIW here are his answers.

1. Management is aware of the new software tripping players on their checkout days for just buying gas or breakfast. According to him, when play is reviewed these types of "trips" are taken into consideration. I told him frankly, that I found this hard to believe. Someone actually reviews all of this ? Come on !

2. I showed him copies and pastes I had made of Mel's and Joel's posts # 3705, and 3706 ( NAMES WERE DELETED). This raised an eyebrow. He asked if he could keep the copies, so he could show it to other management people. Fine with me ! He said that he would get back to me a few days after the holiday weekend. He has always been good in responding.

  Other issues we discussed:

1.The computer triggers a possible new Sachem member and then the play is reviewed by a VP. It takes more than a few trips of heavier play to trigger the computer.

2. Obviously during the summer, offers are less than they are during the slower months.

3. It generally takes 4-6 weeks for the computer to "acknowledge" increased play and in turn generate better offers. He said that he hears many complaints from players who don't realize this and expect to get better offers within a week of their most recent visit. Once again the computer will not generate better offers based upon only a trip or two of heavier play.

My two cents:
Other casinos that I have played in also trip you for anything that involves your card. From personal experience I can attest to this happening in Czr. properties and the Borgata. Personally I can understand if they trip you for a comped room and no play. But on checkout day there should be allowance for buying breakfast, and in the Sun's case for purchasing gas.

Great information. Always suprises me when mgmt is not aware of their casino being discussed on internet.

We never use our card at Las Vegas Hilton on checkout-day and host always reminds us of so. At Sun, buying gasoline on our way out used to be SOP. I guess we will start filling up on arrival which is a PIA.

I noticed that the database now states:

Slot club day runs from: 6:00AM to 6:00AM *

*players might be rated from 12:01am to 11:59pm only

Can anyone clarify this?

This might have to do with my post # 3687.
A host told me (and showed me), that with the new software( here we go again) when a host brings up your play on the computer it shows your daily play beginning at midnight and ending at 11:59 P.M. He said that this was seperate from offers that are generated on your play from 6 AM for the next 24 hours. Personally I find this confusing and believe that if the computer is showing your play as midnight to midnight then the offers are probably being generated from play within this time period. I've recewived various offers with different time periods. For example double points rangefrom 6 AM-midnight while FP offers I have received range from 6 AM-5:59 AM. The bottom line is that MS has a screwed up new software system that they aren't reigning in.

Okay, Then are we sure that a "trip" is still 6:00-6:00 as far as ADT?

This is very confusing indeed.

Thanks,
Chuck

Personally speaking, I don't know.

Larry,
I agree this has become confusing and an issue. I know the computer does give you a new day after midnight and it isn't supposed to. I usually get to ms early and no longer will i play after midnight until I know for sure it doesn't split my play in half

Mel,
Same for me. I'll only play after midnight if I'm playing for that entire day. I stop play by midnight if I'm checking out the next morning.
