The Genoa being referred to is on the east side of the Sierras, SW of
Carson City. It's known for being one of the oldest towns of NV & is an
historic site. Now it's better known for a fine golf course &
what-used-to-be-million-dollar houses in a spread-out community. Every year it has an annual
fund-raiser called the Candy Dance about Sep/Oct which is a lot of fun but
parking/traffic is tight. The road that goes thru it is also an alternate way
to get to Kingsbury grade (206) which I recommend if you have time for a
nice, scenic drive along the base of the Sierras. Sorry, don't know of any
inexpensive taxis. Probably best is to rent a car since I don't know of
anybody who makes regular stops here.

I'd fly to Rome or Milan and take the train to Genoa. I doubt you could
drive all the way across the Atlantic and it would take several weeks to take
a boat. They may have direct flights nowadays.
Hi all,
Hubby and I are in the process of trying to buy a retirement home in
Genoa. We will be traveling back and forth for the next couple of years
until we relocate for good.
Does anyone know of any reasonable, reliable transportation between the
Reno airport and Genoa and vice versa? The taxi companies I've spoken to
are fairly expensive.
