I enjoyed the recent discussion of progressives. It's too bad there
aren't more of them. It's a shame every casino doesn't offer them
(and a decent feed rate). If they all did, it wouldn't be so hard
for knowledgable players to find a good play. Evidently the casino
bigwigs have the mistaken impression that any game with a 100%+ EV
means they are losing money ... which, for progressives, is simply
not true. There should be playing options for everyone ... from the
tourist who enjoys nickle 6/5 JorB, and for VPfree readers too.
General Comment on Progressives
I'm coming to town on 8/3 for a couple of nights and will be at the
Orleans. Do they still have 10/7 DB at the bars? I assume that is best game.
Also, the reason for this trip is for a group called "Stroke Survivors" to
meet and greet each other. (My mother is the survivor). If anyone you
know would like to join us, let me know. The more the merrier.

Almost every casino has them and at one time or another, I have played
at almost every casino on a progressive.
Never at the new Aladdin, and never at a few of the local places, but I
have played at Sahara, Riv, Circus, Frontier, Westwood Ho, Stardust,
Frontier Sands, Desert Inn, Flamingo, Imperial Palce, Mandalay, Luxor,
Excalibur, MGM, Tropicana, San Remo, Barbary Coast, Harrahs, etc.
Please a few others that I can't remember.

best game.
Orleans bars, with the exception of the piano aka front aka lounge
bar, have quarter 10/7 DB. You will also find short pay quarter
progressives that are often at positive levels throughout the casino.

Is this true? Are there many at each bar? I assumed (wrongly, I guess) the
only 10/7 DB was at the bar in the new section by the slot club.

And I've played them at the Rampart, SunCoast, all Stations casinos,
and multiple places in Reno. So I stand corrected ... there are more
than I imagined. But I still wish there were more, with better feed
rates. At the SunCoast, for example, there are a bunch, but really
only one with a decent chance to go positive (Bonus Deuces). On
several the SunCoast offers a progressive dealt RF ... but it's hard
to get excited by that jackpot, no matter how high it gets.

My wife and I played there recently and there are 10/7's all over the
place Almost every bank seemed to have them. We were in the area
near the slot club.
