I received a gas card on Monday for the same amount with the same
expiration date.
After reading the details on the card, it does not work as previous
gas cards have worked. With this one, you scan the barcode at one of
the swipe and win kiosks. Your account will then be credited with
the amount of the gas card. You then go to the pump, use your card,
enter your pin and it will ask you if you want to use the points
from the coupon.
It is not clear if you have to use all of the points at once or can
use any balance at another time (although at the prices they are
charging, it would be pretty hard not to use $50 worth). It also is
not clear if you must use the points within the dates specified or
just scan the card within the dates specified and then use the
points when you choose. Another thing that is not clear is whether
the points expire.
I am planning to use my points before the last date specified on the
card just in case.
