Gaming Day Timings

I’m new to Vegas and thought it would be useful to have a thread that collaborates all information about casino gaming day times. For those unfamiliar, gaming days are often different than a standard calendar day (12am-11:59pm). At many casinos it is important to keep play within one gaming day to maintain a good playing average for mailers, comps, etc… (AKA ADT average daily theoretical loss) An example of this is Harrahs properties in which the gaming day runs from 6:00 AM - 5:59AM the next day. Please feel free to share what you know but only post what you are sure of, or if you not sure at least indicate your confidence level. Misinformation about these times could prove costly.

Yes. And their policies can change. At a Station property, many
years ago, I had a point multiplier. I knew their policy was to
multiply all points earned until I pulled my card out if my card was
inserted on the day of the multiplier. I played many hours past
midnight after the day I was to get my points multiplied and all my
points earned, both before and after midnight, were multiplied. But
they changed this, I think when they combined points from all
properties and adjusted point balances upwards. After that, not only
were all points earned during a session which crossed midnight not
multiplied, even if I had a multiplier on both days, but they only
earned comp points, not points which were available for free play. It
has been a few years since I've played on a point multiplier from
before midnight to after, so this might have changed.

It has been a few years since I've played around these times at a
Coast property, but I believe it was kind of a hybrid as to how points
for multipliers and drawing tickets were treated.

I've had many problems with points not getting properly credited.
I've gone to the Gaming Commission more than once and they've always
ruled in my favor because I had details about when and how much I
played and how many points weren't credited. It can pay to make sure.

You beat me to the punch on this one with the card issue.

It is not just the day but when the card gets pulled or maybe inserted at some places. Then apart from the playing some places like CZR in AC may credit the play but to get the multiplier make you swipe somewhere at restricted hours. Not sure about the reason except to knock certain groups out of the promo.
