Gambling With an Edge now in itunes

I just wanted to let everyone know that you can now download Gambling With an Edge to your ipod, ipad, iphone or what-have-you. Now you can listen any time you want. Just go to the itunes store and search it and it should pop right up.

Great. I've been wanting to download it and listen on my iphone at my leisure, but couldn't figure out how to subscribe.
Thanks

Hey Munchkin,

Love the show, have been a listener every time I get a chance. Are there any plans to get the older shows up there? I think that'd be a great thing if it's easy to do. I've put a few of the mp3s on the GWAE website (or maybe it was Frank or Bob's website) onto my ipod, but it's easier to do when the stuff is already on iTunes. Obviously there's a lot of super-interesting content from the last several months.

Regardless, thanks for getting current shows up on iTunes, I just subscribed.

The feed to itunes comes directly from my blog, so the only way would be for me to put those up there. I have no plans to do that currently. You should be able to alt-click the old shows to download them as mp3s and then just drag into your itunes folder. (I think that would work.)

How about putting it on Android also. More Android phones than iPhones.

not everybody uses a phone to listen to podcasts. and iTunes is not limited to use on iPhones... it also works on other phones, computers, as well as iPods. so the fact that there are now more android phones than iPhones really has little bearing on whether or not iTunes is the best distribution method...

...especially since you can sync an iTunes account to an android phone using many different third party utilities:

This fellow is right. I have an Android Thunderbolt. I have iTunes loaded onto it along with the 1500 songs in my library, and I can listen to GWAE....if I felt like it.

I will look into that.

I don't have an Android phone, so I am trying to investigate. I see that you can still get podcasts via itunes, and I have submitted to podcasts.com. Where do you usually get your podcasts for Android? I will submit there.

It should already be possible without Richard having to take any additional steps.

For most podcasting software, adding the podcast should be a simple matter of the RSS feed URL off of your blog:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/RichardWMunchkinWriterDirectorProfessionalGambler?format=xml

Specifically, on my Android phone, I went to

www.richardmunchkin.com

in the web browser, and on the right hand side under "Subscribe To" click on Posts and then in the menu that pops up click on Atom and it should ask you whether you want to open the link using the web browser (no) or your podcast client (yes, assuming you have one installed).

Desktop podcast software should have a menu item or option where you can add a new feed URL and paste in the URL above.

Exact details may vary between platforms and podcast clients.

Oops, I have to retract this. This did cause blog entries to appear in my podcast feed, so I assumed everything was ok, but it only gives you links that you still have to click on to download the individual podcast audio files, instead of actually downloading all of them for you.

Sorry for the false start.

Wait, now I may have to retract the retraction. I didn't correctly force a download.

Anyway, someone else try this and see if it works  My brain is obviously very confused today.

What did you use to put iTunes on your Thunderbolt?
