Gambling With An Edge --- January 31

Richard Strafella is a very knowledgeable career casino professional and a very decent person. He has been the other half of the Joe Magliarditi executive management team spanning the Edgewater/Colorado Belle, the opening of the M, the Hard Rock after their President committed suicide, and now the challenging Palms. His strengths are how the casino floor is set up for maximum spacing enjoyment and profitability, efficiently run slot clubs, simplifying promotions, guest enjoyment and comfort, and he's an expert on video poker machines, game menus, and those who play them among other games. He's very high-end, but he will always answer or discuss any casino subject presented to him. He understands where his property's problems are, and in my experience he has always been happy to listen to any criticism and explain what he intends to do about it. In my opinion Mr. Strafella is a premium guest.

In less than two weeks, on Thursday January 31, our guest on
Gambling With an Edge will be Richard Strafella, Vice President of
Casino Operations at the Palms Casino. I know a lot of members on
this site play at the Palms. We're seeking suitable questions to
ask Strafella during the interview.

Why did Richard leave the Hard Rock. I enjoyed meeting him and I know an employee who really liked him as well.
