I bought the iPhone app and am
very very disappointed.
Seems like a simple thing to
record but it is very confusing and
will not record the way I want.
I wrote to designers without a response.

Hello,
My name is Eric and I am one of the developers for this app. I believe we contacted you via email on Wednesday November 11th at 8:13pm. Please let me know if you did you not receive the email.
We answer every single email that comes in and we always appreciate feedback positive or negative. We want to improve this app so it works well for all sorts of players.
When you mention "it will not record they way I want", what exactly do you mean? How can we help?
We have had multiple suggestions from many users and are trying hard to get them in the next update.
Please email us anytime with any questions at gambletrackapp@gmail.com
Thanks,
Eric

Me too. The program is useless unless you are a computer geek and know how to use spreadsheet programs. Why didn't they format it so you could just get a printout for your records? If I spend even more money to buy something like Excel, can I get a printout then or do I still have to learn how to build a speadsheet to read the data?

Vegasvpplayer,
We are working on the ability to email the results in XLS format, so if you check your email on your phone, you will be able to view the results on the phone.
We also use the CSV format as it is an industry standard and does not require Excel. You can use Open Office (free) to open the file.
We also hope that in the future we can add the ability to view results and sort results right inside the app.
Once you have your history file in CSV you can print to your hearts content. Unless they offer an ability to print from your iPhone, you will always need to get the data to some sort of format in order to print. The easiest way to get data from a database to a simple industry standard format is using the CSV standard, which we did.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Eric

I got the Open Office as recommended. The only problem is that when you
print the file for your records, each entry is three pages wide. Not very
easy to read or analyze visually. I have no doubt the application is good
if you know how to import the data into some speadsheet program for
analysis. I hope you will continue to work on better ways to format the
printed results for the layperson who is trying to substitute an electronic
recording device for a pen and paper.

What is Gamblers Track? I'm guessing it's an electronic diary.

Hello,
Gamble Track is basically an electronic diary for tracking your gambling. Version 1.0 is available right now on the iTunes App Store but we are working on an update to address the requests we have had from this group and other users.
Some of those updates will be:
- Ability to save location info for future use
- Game, Machine Number, and Denomination saved for future use
- Improved track screen to show current game and casino
- Ability to record "Trip Name" so it appears in history results
- We are also making some tweaks on the help screens so they are more useful
This app is a great way to track your gambling not only for financial reasons and tax reasons, but for the mere fun of combining superstition with logic and the sometimes illogical nature of gaming. Each entry is time stamped so you can analyze your records and see if you do well at night, after lunch, only on Tuesdays, etc. When do you get the best payoff? Where do you get the best payoffs? The data from this app will show you that info!
So far there has been over 30 downloads in 30 days, so we are very pleased! Myself, along with my wife Tara are the only ones working on this app. We are not a huge company and sometimes it is hard to get in fixes, changes, etc in a timely manner due to work, kids, etc.
If you want more information and updates on this app, please reach us on any of the following sites:

Possibly. It depends on how much time would be consumed by the iPhone App development process. We have already been asked to develop on Android too. Maybe once our iPhone version is stable we can hopefully port some of the code to Blackberry and Android.
We will see.

For the iPhone you have to use Apple's product called XCode, which is basically Objective C.
I am certain each platform (Android, Blackberry, etc) have their own proprietary language.

BlackBerry does not support C or C+, that's why iWinpoker will most likely not be on the BlackBerry.
