FYI: LV Hilton- Hotels charges were not auto-deducted from comp acct

I was at the Hilton the past 4 days. I made a few phone calls and
charged dinner to my room. based on what I read here, i thought it
would be automatically deducted from my comp acct.

but when I left, those charges ($10) were placed onto my Visa. When
I told them i thought it would be auto-deducted from my comp acct,
they were clueless. Then someone said to get a comp slip from the
slot club area and bring it back to them to get the charges removed.

For $10 (i had a $50 food comp), it wasn't a big deal and I left it
on my Visa.

Just FYI that hotel charges are not auto-deducted from comp acct.

If I recall correctly, phone charges are automatically comped for only
the highest rated (C1) players at LVH. (I'm foggy as to whether local
calls might be covered for C2.) As you note, other players can offset
the charges with additional comps earned during play.

You have stumbled on the negative part of the new comp system. To get
your comps, you must stand in the slot card line, get a slip of paper
(you might as well get your cash back slip while you are at it), and
then stand in the check out line to give it to the clerk at the desk.
These lines can get quite long on a late Sunday morning as everyone
else is doing the same thing. Figure on wasting an hour for the
process.

When I was at Paris last month they had machines which would print
out the slips (you had to swipe your card and enter your PIN). Sure
made life easier.
