After wading through the endless volume of off topic posts in the
last few weeks I took the time to investigate the filtering options
my ISP offers for e-mail. I discovered I can completely eliminate any
message with certain key words in the subjet line or message body. So
far I have chosen POLITICAL and INDIAN !!

Good idea. I just found the time to check on the VPFREE messages for
the first time in some while. I actually found a *couple* of posts
related to VP!
Most common email software packages (like Netscape and Outlook) have
filtering options directly within them. Netscape has them under
TOOLS, MESSAGE FILTERS. You can set up filters to send emails
directly to trash with specific words in the subject line, or from
specific email addresses, etc.
