complain, but they never seem to be willing to do anything about it.
(I'm pretty sure that casinos notice this also). That's why the new
(started in April) non-smoking casinos group has only 45 members.
Anyone who doesn't like breathing in smoke in casinos should at the
very least join that group - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/No-Smoke.
Since there's no much doubt that most of the folks here are non-
smokers, that should mean several thousand members of that group.<<<
I concur, and wish there were several thousand members of no-smoke,
actively lobbying casinos for decent non-smoking playing areas.
The goal of the yahoo group "No-Smoke" is to promote decent non-smoking
areas in casinos. The proposed mechanism is to lobby casino managers,
with the power to effect such change, via emails, letters, direct
conversation, letters to newspapers, guest comment cards...and any
other avenue can think of.
A short term idea is to have t-shirts and/or hats made with the old
slogan from the American Cancer Society: "Thank You For Not Smoking" to
be worn in casinos, perhaps this would be effective on an individual
basis, particularly if you gamble in groups of like minded people. Sort
of create your own traveling Non-Smoking Area.

For those that seek a constructive outlet for their frustration, please
join "No-Smoke", memberships still available! I thank you and your
lungs will also thank you.
